Another authentic family restaurant has been added to the Prague gastronomic scene, a Thai bistro, which presents Thai cuisine in its original form.
Thai Station managed by Onwasa Kongpetch, a Thai native who has run several family enterprises in Bangkok, offers a carefully thought-out concept of Thai cuisine in a modern setting.
The owner of the Thai Station bistro, situated in a great location in the historical centre of Prague next to Uhelný trh (Coal Market), is Rujalux Kongpetch Nešpůrková, who created the design of the entire premises. Hailing from Bangkok, she obtained her Master of Arts degree from the University of Central England in Birmingham. She then continued her studies in Australia, where she met her husband, Petr Nešpůrek, who has been a great support to her in creating the concept of the bistro. Petr Nešpůrek runs one of the largest hotels in Prague, NH Prague, and in 2018 received the prestigious Hotelier of the Year award in the Czech Republic.
“In our cosy modern bistro, we want to provide guests with an authentic experience just like in Thailand – atmosphere, food and service. I dreamt of opening my own bistro for a few years and am excited that now the dream has come true. I firmly believe that everyone will enjoy a visit to our bistro,” comments owner Rujalux Kongpetch Nešpůrková.
We recommend visiting the Thai Station for lunch. Be sure to try Kanom Jeen Nam Ya for 2 persons: Rice noodles with tuna curry, served with fresh vegetables and herbs.

Italy is rightly considered the cradle of winemaking. Among its treasures is the blue Barbera variety – a wine with higher acidity, pleasant roundness and the rich tones of dark ripe fruit, such as plums or cherries. Its harmonious and delicate taste is gaining more and more fans. It originates in the Piedmont region in the northwest of the country, where it has deep roots and has enjoyed growing popularity in recent decades.
