An extraordinary development project called Gabreta is being created right in the heart of Šumava. Its appearance will enhance the village of Prášily, providing future apartment owners with all the appropriate civic amenities and sporting activities, in addition to possible entrance to the Wellness Centre.
Apartment Furnishing
Gabreta bears the Celtic name which meant “Šumava” in ancient times. It was completed in 1908 as a roadhouse. Its latest reconstruction will give the building new effective insulation and an outer shell made only of wood cladding. The interior comprises 22 apartments with balconies, in 1kk and 2kk layouts. Each flat will be equipped with insulated triple-glazed windows and balcony doors. In case of interest, it is still possible to make building modifications, such as changing the position of the partitions, combining two apartments into one, or creating a gallery storage space above the ceiling in the attic units. The building has a parking lot, where it is possible to buy a parking space.
Advantages of Gabreta
All apartment owners will have the opportunity to enter the Wellness Centre of the 4-star Chalupa Hotel. It boasts a large, almost 20-metre-long, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, experience shower and relaxation room. Prášily has a Post Office, the famous U Michala inn, the Pampeliška confectionery, the highest-located botanical garden in the Czech Republic, an enclosure for American bison, a Rope Centre and a large multifunctional playground with an option of horseback riding and winter skating. The vicinity abounds in forests, with hiking trails leading to many interesting excursion destinations, such as Prášily Lake and Lake Laka, Poledník Mountain with a lookout tower, a nature trail and deer park. In winter, one can go cross-country skiing and conquer the nearby famous slopes.
World-renowned artist Gordana Glass pushes the boundaries of glassmaking to new dimensions. Her works have found their way into the hands of personalities such as Queen Elizabeth II, the Norwegian royal couple, Pope Benedict XVI and, most recently, maestro Placido Domingo.
