The name, TAWAN, means a “glowing Sun” in Thai. And it is this symbolism which embraces the brand’s philosophy: to supply clients with new energy, peace and inner balance. Since its founding in 2006, the chain of luxurious massage salons has expanded to several cities, with a wide selection of more than 20 types of massages.

Emphasis on authenticity plays a fundamental role – massages are performed by experienced Thai therapists, whose skills are based on original techniques passed down through generations. These are complemented by an individual approach and modern service that meets the expectations of demanding ­clients. Each procedure takes place in a separate space and clients also have relaxation zones or individually set environments at their disposal. The Lady who brought Thailand to the Czech Republic

Jiřina Forejtková is behind the creation and success of the brand. A trained physiotherapist, she has dedicated her entire professional life to body and health care – from working in a ­Vinohrady hospital to managing a wellness centre. Her experience and sensitivity to clients’ needs led her to the idea of combining Eastern tradition with European quality of services. The founder of a successful network of salons adds: “I have always emphasised not only the massage technique itself, but also the environment – aesthetics, atmosphere and overall experience. This is what distinguished TAWAN from the competition and moved it into the segment of premium wellness services.”

Rezidence Vyšehrad: a New Standard of Luxury

One of the most striking projects of recent times is the completely renovated TAWAN Rezidence Vyšehrad salon. It is located in a quiet environment near the famous Prague fortress and castle. After extensive renovation in 2025, this salon offers a completely new level of comfort. The salon was extended and is now one of the largest of its kind in Prague. It has seven massage rooms, including those for couples' rituals. The interior combines dark wood, soft lighting and natural materials, which create a harmonious, almost temple-like atmosphere.

TAWAN is not just a chain of massage salons, but also represents a certain lifestyle – slowing down in a busy world, returning to balance and taking care of yourself. This philosophy is also supported by collaboration with personalities from the Czech cultural scene. The faces of the campaigns include Lucie Bílá, Jakub Kohák, Ivana Chýlková and Tatiana Dyková. Their involvement underlines the image of the brand, which has been confirming for 20 years that the combination of traditional Thai philosophy with a modern approach has its firm place in Europe.
