When one thinks of Cavallino Bianco, parents who love the Italian Dolomites immediately think of the absolute top in care for children and adults. Now this proven concept is moving to the beach. In May 2026, a new 5-star resort opened in Caorle, which aims to prove that family holidays do not have to include compromises.
Owner Ralph A. Riffeser was not satisfied with the average when looking for a location. He found it in the area of the former Colonia Pordenone, where a resort with direct access to the sea and its own private beach was created on five hectares. The whole concept is based on a simple motto: "It's Family Time – Live it Now".
Peace for Everyone
Forget about cramped hotel rooms into which the whole family is squeezed! Here they boast 101 spacious rooms (from 46 m² to a generous 118 m²), with separate zones for parents and children. Each suite has its own terrace with a sea view, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchenette. The designers were inspired by the surrounding landscape – pine forests and the Adriatic – so even indoors, guests feel as if they are out in Nature.
Rooftop Spa for Adults
The wellness centre is over 4,000 m² and comprises everything from heated pools to saunas. For adults, however, there is one “game changer”– the rooftop spa with an infinity pool and panoramic views, which only they have access to. While parents relax in silence with a sea view, children are taken care of in Lino Land, with an indoor and outdoor area of 750 m², providing everything from a theatre and workshops to sports programmes for teenagers.
Local Flavours for Old and Young
No semi-finished products are found in the kitchen. The hotel collaborates with local farmers and cultivators, so the vast majority of ingredients are local. And what are mealtimes like? Guests may dine in the Family Restaurant, which resembles an Italian square and operates in the form of a buffet. Children have their own Children’s Restaurant with play facilities and a menu just for them. And for those who wish to enjoy a romantic dinner for two, there is the more formal Marco Polo with table service.
More than a Mere Hotel
The resort operates for ten months of the year and creates over 180 jobs. In addition to the beach, guests may also participate in sport. The hotel rents bikes, or will take guests by boat directly to Venice or the surrounding islands in the lagoon. There are numerous excursions to choose from, as the Veneto region around Caorle is filled with quality vineyards and Michelin-star restaurants.
The name Camí Ral, or Royal Road, refers to the ancient trade route connecting the Mediterranean coast with the Pyrenees. Today, the name is used to describe the magnificent PGA Catalunya Resort, boasting the best golf course in Spain with world-class facilities.
