Mánesova Bar and Books, the popular bar in Vinohrady which closed its doors after an amazing 17 years in September, 2024, has relocated in almost identical form to the centre, a short distance from Národní třída.
The colonial-style environment and interior are inspired by the atmosphere of New York in the 1930s. The services are also nobly iconic – top-notch service and a presentation of cocktails, premium spirits, wines and Champagne, as are known from the Bar and Books bars in New York, Warsaw, as well as Týnská Bar and Books in Prague.
The hallmark of the Bar and Books concept is cigars. The wide range of global brands also includes Bar and Books' own cigars. Therefore, Národní Bar and Books also includes a cigar room with a capacity for 25 people. A pleasantly intimate atmosphere reigns in all areas – both the upper and lower bars have a capacity for 30 people.
Both Prague bars are newly proud ambassadors of Brugal rum.
“Even 35 years after the opening of the first Hudson Bar and Books, I still have not lost my appetite for new beginnings and the bar culture. I firmly believe that Národní Bar and Books will not be my last bar child, after all, Týnská Bar and Books has been alive in Prague for 23 years already. Regular Bar and Books' concepts include workshops focused on cocktails, themed evenings with live music and burlesque, Tuesdays dedicated to whiskey and ladies' Mondays. The impressive portfolio of whiskeys from all over the world has placed Bar and Books among the top European bars.
