Ansitz Steinbock was founded as an aristocratic residence and has retained its charm to this day. Stone walls, wooden ceilings, arched corridors and frescoes from ancient times create an atmosphere that immediately transports guests back in time. Each room is an original, complemented by a combination of antique furniture with modern design elements. The newly opened La Lumosa restaurant provides an exceptional gourmet experience in the intimate setting of a former smokehouse. The culinary team of young professionals is led by award-winning South Tyrolean Chef René Tschager, together with Ansitz Steinbock owner Elisabeth Rabensteiner and sommelier Bastian Winkler. Their philosophy combines a minimalist approach, a deep respect for ingredients and subtle yet bold creativity. The menu changes every six weeks and offers five or seven courses that reflect both perfect craftsmanship and an experimental spirit. Each dish is complemented by a carefully selected wine from the hotel's wine cellar of more than 850 labels.
Haven with an Idyllic View
Ansitz Steinbock also includes an exclusive Alpine chalet on Villanderer Alm, one of the most picturesque high-altitude pastures in the Dolomites. This cosy hideaway offers the ideal base for hiking, cycling and winter cross-country skiing and, above all, for a peaceful escape into Nature with breathtaking views of Schlern, Langkofel and Plattkofel. Guests can enjoy a picnic or a private lunch right in the chalet, prepared by the Ansitz Steinbock team, and thus combine a rustic atmosphere with the elegance of Alpine hospitality.
