It is in these moments that our philosophy is put into practice – that every detail matters and, above all, that we have extensive knowledge of the destinations to which we send our clients.

Imagine the logistics: guests all arrive on the same day from distant destinations such as Singapore, London or Vienna. Their individual itineraries must intersect at one precisely timed moment, without a single hesitation or delay. Most people would see months of organisational stress in such an assignment. For our clients, it is merely a natural transition from the deck of the plane to the edge of the hotel pool. The first glass of chilled ­Prosecco, the tones of lounge music and the birthday client’s feeling of deep relief that comes when he realises that his only concern is being a great host.

The second day of the celebration only confirmed this. Instead of a flashy modern yacht, a historical wooden sailing ship was moored in the port. It was not about effect or pomp, but about a quiet connection with the sea itself and enjoying the adventures that local sailors have experienced for centuries. Sailing through the La Maddalena archipelago, swimming in turquoise lagoons and a lunch of fresh pasta and seafood prepared by the on-board Chef. Everything happened with an ease that belied the complexity of the preparations behind the scenes.

But let’s get to the celebration itself, which took place in a beach restaurant. Amidst the flames of candles and soft music, a speech was given by the host's 15-year-old daughter. Her witty and touching words, spoken in two languages, moved many a guest to tears. These are the moments that create family memories. "You can have a successful business and assets, but your real wealth is in the people around you. And that cannot be quantified," the host summed up the atmosphere of the evening, while lanterns were lit on the white-sand beach for those who wanted to dance until the morning hours.

The rest of the stay was in true Italian spirit. A visit to a family winery with a tasting, where they produce not only wine but also great cosmetics from the grapes, and dinner at a local family osteria, where the owner herself served the guests, gave the whole event an authentic and personal dimension.

The organisation itself remained invisible throughout, which is the highest form of service. No event can completely avoid ­little "buts". However, the overall result and the smiles of satisfied guests are what really matter. And it is this standard, built on precise planning, that we have maintained all over the world for more than 20 years.
