Tennerhof Beckons with Friendly Alpine Hospitality
01. 02.2024
The world-famous winter sports centre of Kitzbühel is worth a visit all year round. However, its white splendour can best be appreciated in winter – as well as the incredibly warm hospitality in Hotel Tennerhof, the décor of which appears to come straight out of a fairy tale.
Cosy Alpine Beauty
When visiting the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Tennerhof, one would no doubt join all its former satisfied guests, including us, who consider it the most magical 5-star hotel in Kitzbühel. The Hotel combines a centuries-old tradition with contemporary luxury in an extraordinary way. Thanks to its location on a plateau, it also provides a fantastic view of Kitzbühel and of the Streif slope, home of the legendary Hahnenkam race.
Delights for Body and Palate The Tennerhof is an ideal venue for active people, but at the same time it offers a refuge for those who wish to indulge in pleasant relaxation. The wellness area surprises with a pool and hot tub and a panoramic view of the mountain peaks. Sauna and steam are enjoyable in winter. The award-winning cuisine has been among the best in the region for many years and can always satisfy even the most demanding gourmets with regional delicacies and sophisticated specialities. We fell in love with the best Kaiserschmarrn we have ever tasted.
Space for Privacy
If one prefers privacy, or if going to the mountains as a family or with a group of friends, an elegant stay can be savoured in the spacious apartments of two separate exclusive chalets just a short distance from the Hotel. The first of the buildings used to be a Tyrolean mountain farmhouse. The second charms with its modern design and spacious suites with private wellness facilities. The chalets can be reserved for a weekend or for the whole winter.

Rooms with a view of the Streif slope and Kitzbühel
In today's busy world, when overwhelmed by obligations and an endless stream of information, we often forget about our own needs. However, recognising and respecting them is the basis of a harmonious and fulfilling life. One of the key concepts that helps us to find a balance between self-care and consideration for others is healthy egoism.
In North Tyrol, within reach of Achensee and under the Karwendel peaks, is Posthotel Achenkirch – an adults-only resort that systematically features the concept of a balance between performance and regeneration. This is not a classic wellness hotel, but an ingeniously conceived resort that combines the peace of Nature, physical activity and the promotion of good health with elements of Eastern philosophy.
The story of David Josef Becher (1725–1792) is firmly embedded in the history of Karlovy Vary. A doctor, scholar, chemist, patron, benefactor and balneologist whose approach to treatment and the development of spa services still influences the appearance of the town today. Becher is rightly considered one of Karlovy Vary's greatest legends.
