Don’t Worry – Ski Happy!

Obertauern – in the midst of the fantastic Salzburg mountain world, with approximately 100 kilometres of fantastic pistes, guaranteed snow from the end of November to the beginning of May and the best après-ski – was already so in 1965, when the Beatles came to Obertauern to shoot the music video for their hit song "Help".

Thanks to its ideal location – at an altitude of 1 740 to 2 526 metres above sea level – the ski season traditionally starts here at the end of November with a huge party. It doesn’t end until mid-May, when ski-hedonists will also enjoy themselves.

Legendary Tauernrunde

The most beautiful ski circuit since the first days of skiing: the lifts are so cleverly arranged here that it is possible to ski down all the slopes to the starting point. The red circle goes clockwise around the centre, the green circle counter-clockwise.

Four-star Superior Hotel Steiner

As is the case of most of the hotels in the area, the slopes can be directly accessed from family Hotel Steiner, because it is located right in the centre and at the same time right next to the piste. Nobody needs a car here. And the legendary nightlife takes place just a few steps from the Hotel.

"We are a family hotel, not a hotel for children. We focus equally on the needs of adults and children," says Andrea Steiner, who together with her husband manages the Hotel and this year completed its revolutionary refurbishment. In addition to bedrooms and suites, the Hotel offers special categories of family rooms: family apartments, rooms with connecting doors, junior suites and double rooms with separate beds for siblings.

Wellness with Added Value

After its opening in November this year, the best view from Steiner Hotel is from the roof, where the new Rooftop-BergSpa including an infinity pool is located. An ideal spot for a short break from family life, as it is only for adults 18+!

The BergSpa with the panoramic indoor pool, which has also been expanded, improved and beautified, is intended primarily for families. In the evening, the spa is reserved from 19:00 to 22:00 for adults only.

Non-stop Culinary Delights

Buffet breakfasts and lunches as well as 5-course dinners – guests can remain at the table all day long: whenever they choose. It doesn’t matter if one is hungry at noon, 2 pm or 4 pm –and without reservations, without fighting for a seat in a mountain chalet. From the tasty breakfast to dinner à la Steinerisch – day-long culinary experiences!

Oasis of Peace Where Time Stands Still

Lake Neusiedl, nicknamed the “Sea of the Viennese”, lies on the border between Austria and Hungary. Its shallow waters, salt pools and reed beds form the heart of the Seewinkel nature reserve – a landscape that has rightly been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is here that the Vila Vita Pannonia resort was built. A place for perfect relaxation.
